Of course the safest thing to do would be to stay in a guarded area at all times and have guards on a macro... BUT that would be a highly boring day on AoV since there is so much to do!

SO on that note, if you are going to go to dungeons or anywhere to hunt monsters, your best bet is to go in a group. (its more fun that way anyways!) Find a guild to join or grab a few

friends. If you absolutely must go at it alone, ALWAYS insure your armor and weapons. (this is in case you do die, you dont lose this stuff) Also while you are out

hunting or gathering stealables even, make sure u bank the valuable items and your gold frequently, (invest in a bag of sending, these are awesome) that way in the unfortunate event that

you do get killed, all of your good loot is safe. Watch out for red players, these players are Player killers. (PKs) It is a good idea to go into razor and set it to show names of incoming

creatures/people. this is under options in razor. that way if you see a character name and it is red, you know to be careful and either hide or flee if you dont want to get attacked.

Another thing is NEVER walk into a moonggate created by another player that you dont know/trust.. This could be a trap. That player might be luring you to his house or another

unsafe place to kill you, also they could cast paralyze on you after you step out ofthe gate.. in the same respect, watch out for strangers/people you dont trust inviting you to

their house to "see their new house or deco" (now dont get me wrong there are quite a few players here that are proud of their houses that they built and want to show them off.. me being one

of them! so dont just ignore everyone that says hey come look at my house) but just be extra careful in that situation, ask them to hold on a minute and go to your bank/house and

take everything off of you and out of your back pack so that if you die, you dont lose anyhting. if you dont want to go to the trouble of doing all that, just insure the things that you dont

want to lose. Be careful exiting public moongates. PKs camp these so when you exit one, dont stand around unhidden for any length of time. (unless of course its the moongate going to

haven) As far as running away goes, at first run straight away from your opponent, then when you get far enough away so that you cannot see them, run 90 degrees in

either direction. After that, do a 180 and run straight again, you should have lost them by this point. If so, recall/sacred journey to a safe place. Also be weary of players in town

that are totally naked and and stand really close to players. These players may be thieves and could be stealing items from player packs unnoticed. REMEMBER: there are no

good guys without villians! :)
