Player Killing Player Killing (Pking) is another aspect of UO that brings some adventure and surprise to the game. Theres nothing like getting the head of ur opponent as a souvenir for your hard work. (and its also good house deco) when Pking a good skill to have is poisoning. The Mondains Legacy expansion has introduced darkglow and parasitic poisons. Darkglow works really well to poison your weapon with for PvP. If your a dexxer PK, chivalry is your friend. It can heal you, enchant your weapon, cure you, temorarily increase your swing speed, and temporarily increase your damage dealt. If your a mage, there are a ton of different spell combos that deal the most damage. learn what they are and have macros set up for them so all you have to do is hit a few keys and you have casted spells instead of having to double click icons. also a good thing for mages to have are stamina and cure potions. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY ALWAYS CARRY BANDAIDS!! Whether you are a dexxer or a mage, have at least 2 different ways to heal and 1 or 2 different ways to cure on you. And have these also set up as macros so again you dont have to double click spirit speak or heal a million times. And obviously its always safer and easier if you can hunt in groups, like with guildmates that are PKs as well. if you hunt in groups it is most effective if you have at least one mage among you. (more is awesome to :P) That way, the mage can cast spells from a distance and help keep characters healed. Another important point is resists. 70 is the highest that you can have your resists at. (unless your an elf then you get 5 extra energy resist making that a total of 75 energy resist) Added to the list is Damage increase, (DI) Swing speed increase, (SSI) Hit chance increase, (HCI) Defense chance increase, (DCI) and as much dexterity and Hit point regeneration/increase as you can get. For a dexxer. Lower mana cost, (LMC) Lower reagent cost, (LRC) Faster casting, (FC) Faster cast recovery, (FCR) Spell damage increase, (SDI) and also as much inteligence and Hit point regeneration/increase as possible. As far as the opponent goes, dont go killing new players. The main thing being that they are new to the game and we dont want to go scaring off new members... Another reason being that its rarely worth it, because chances are that they dont have much on them in the way of loot. The skills tracking, stealth, resisting spells, detecting hidden, hiding, and spirit speak are very useful. Other ideas for finding players to kill might be camping certain moongates (this works because it hides you after you have gone through the gate until you move) and also camping dungeons that you know are frequented. Now to reap the rewards... you can cut up their body (with a bladed weapon) and retrieve their head for deco and bragging rights... also you can loot them. when looting them take only what you can use or can make a profit off of, taking anything else is a waste of time. Death can be but just a pm away.. meaning that the person you just killed may be pming his buddies to come gang up on you. And probally the most important thing is to always keep your weapons and armor insured at all times. and use auto renew insurance as well. remember though keep gold in your bank for the auto renew.
