Artefacts? Part 3
by Ugdalf
Collection/Library/Zoo artefacts:Vesper Museum (its in a cellar)Moonglow Zooand Britain Library (where you got to do a quest
first to be able to participate)are the places where you can get special items and artefacts for some specific donated other item (or pet in the zoo)
be careful there, as some items that can be donated might take up something you didnt want to give away (for example you donate spellbooks, and it consumes your spellweaving as well as
special slayer books you crafted/bought and maybe the tokuno lesser/greater spellbooks as well.. you'd be pissed big time).to see some details about this items, well internet
search or somewhere on uo.stratics.com or uostuff.com :Pmondains legacy (ML) artefacts:once you know about these ML areas/dungeons
and go there and start fighting things that got a specific no-monstertype name and/or are peerless bosses .. you got chance to receive an ML arty. As those areas seem to
create paragons too you also have a chance on the ilshenar arties on these - 5% chance that a thing spawns as paragon, increased movement speed and regeneration and overall
treat it as a 5 times more powerful monster of regular type. :P not to speak of barding there.. you will notice what you can affect with barding stuff and what not, and where you can sick other
monsters with provocation to help you and where just forget it if you get surrounded to just start running away, screaming in high pitched voice :)Anyways, ML expansion also brought in craftable
artefacts: basically you can "see" them on every crafting tool of your choice, requiring its recipe and maybe some odd looking special ingredients.Place to get recipes is the town of
heartwood, thats accessible through a permanent gate field in the center of Yew - if you know where Empath abbey is near yew moongate, well go south and look in the middle of
that village. You wont just receive recipes once you go there - you will have to complete quest tasks and depending what npc you are talking to he has different quests to the next npc standing in line
(well the same group of npcs, lets say smiths, should have same set of available quests, just they drop the task randomly, more clicking for the lazy!). ->and you can bet the
"better" a craftible arty is, the lower the chances to receive its recipe. Oh and if you hear about begging for recipes, hm if you ever find a trainer (as atm there seems to be none) and work that
skill up.., might reconsider doing it this way, as there is only 1% chance on highest tier begs as it seems, and recipes have still a 1:10 ratio to appear then - could be easier to just do the
regular quest way, but :) its not my time you waste so go on training it.
